Men face many challenges today with the increase in street crime and gang culture. Now most martial arts don't cater for this new breed of threats and as such have no place claiming they teach Self Defence.

MENS SELF DEFENCE
RAID for Men is the most realistic defence system today.
Introduction
to Mens Self Defence
Men's Self Defence is so much more different than females in that allot of attacks are ego and alpha male orientated, from alcohol fuelled attacks, road rage, muggings and gang culture attacks, the emotions of both attacker and victims can run high. You only have to watch the news to see that almost everyone can become a victim of violence. Allot of individuals try to blame the police or someone else, but the facts of the matter are that you need to look out for yourself more nowadays and spend time learning awareness and defence concepts. Going to a martial arts club is not the answer, as there are no rules, etiquette or philosophy in the streets. You should be developing skills that enable you to create Options as opposed to a technical based response.
From statistical information a man is 76% more likely to suffer this form of an attack than women and 16 – 24 year olds are more at risk, which is due to the fact that they are more socially active. With the extended drinking hours and the awareness of street crime and gang culture, I don’t think that you can pickup a local newspaper without reading about an attack of some sort. The RAID system is structured in a way that you can clearly understand the types, body language they use and the delivery indicators so that you can avoid them without physical confrontations.
Types of Attackers
There are many types of attacker on the street but the categories that raid has classified them under are lone and group, the reason for this, is that they fall under our initial anatomy of defence and the assumption rule which is covered in the RAID course. To detail the motive of attack is impossible as there are too many variables and scenarios that you could imagine. We have outlined two main headings for you and annotated some simple examples:
Lone Attacker Armed
An individual who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who is carrying a knife and who carries the knife because it makes him feel confident and power important. This individual is looking to find a victim that they can attack but will look for someone that they know they can beat with little resistance.
Group Attackers Armed
A group or gang that maybe local to an area that have to feel they have control over that particular area and in being the gang through success and confidence they have escalated to the use of weapons to dominate and terrorise the area.
Lone Attacker Not Armed
An individual that you annoy by accident that feels that this is the last straw and confronts you bring all the anger into the situation and wants to use you as a vessel to vent their frustration and pent up anger.
Group Attackers Not Armed
This maybe a group out for a social and you happen to be the victim of one of the group’s attention. Because that person is in a group you have the potential of friends joining in and sticking up for their friend.
